Wistful winds play with the scent of summer,
honeysuckle and bees, beer and a buzz,
baseball, TV… and children in the yard.
minutes passing by one second at time,
slow motion living thick and rich
Breath in breath out ain’t this what it’s about?

Granpa’s napping on the porch,
and grandma’s in the kitchen mak’n apple pie,
Little Billy wheelies his bicycle, you can smell the Earth as he pass’s by.
Little Sally’s blowing daffodils at firefies brightening the dusk with her smile. Breath in, breath out…
This is what you call living afterwhile.

Ummmm you can feel the forgetful breeze of yesterday’s sorrows.
This ain’t no time to think about the struggles of everydays tomorrows.
I look again one more time into her eyes, and find the love of deep blue sky. Breath in breath out, ain’t this what it’s all about?

The end comes with such alarming speed as time accelerates from the beginning. Zero to sixty in sixty years, from the daze of discovery through fields of wonder. To meadows of bones of contention. Wizened spirits compete for soul comforts even as the twilight dims on the horizon.

Far off and away there are souls in the centers of galaxy’s devouring the density and weight of star dust. So dark they can’t be seen but felt as their influence can not be denied. Perceptions of universal gravity conceptualizing time.
What law of reality conceives something from nothing?

Consumers of beginnings and endings, and of the ticking space in between. Scrabbling in concept and clawing at the fabric of consciousness, howling in passions of mortality.
Energy contained in flesh, brief sparks of significant something, in something so magnificent it sparkles.
