I am out of my mind,
walking on the edge of lunacy.
There is a comfort here
that defies sanity.
The responsible,
reasonable me.
Talking to myself
engaged in philosophy.
Laughing at my feet
as if they knew where
I’m going.
You can’t get there
from here.
Such an ugly
understanding.
But I crawl back in
anyway. Because…
I have to be here
to get there.
Which is neither
here or there.
But I don’t mind…
eventually.
